Shelter: BC SPCA - Kamloops Animal ID: 471894 Birthdate: March 27, 2017 - Young Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Badger came into the BC SPCA when he and a group of cats were left behind after their owner moved away. He was very scared and fearful initially and has been in foster care to help improve his confidence and socialization with people. Badger takes a while to get used to new situations and people but once he likes you he really enjoys his pets and cuddles and will follow you around the house chatting. He can be a bit of a talker and would enjoy having long conversations with you about your day. Badger likes to have hiding areas to feel safe in the beginning but his curious side wins out and he loves exploring and can be a little mischievous. He's quite fun and goofy once his fear subsides. If you are patient, gentle and live in a quiet home, this cat will certainly come out of his shell for you and be an entertaining housemate! Badger would do best in a home without any children running around since fast movements and loud noises may scare him. He may swat or growl if he gets really scared. He needs a cat savvy guardian willing to continue working on his fearfulness and bring out his loving side. Back scratches are a good start, he loves them! Though Badger came in with many other cats he would potentially do best in a home as the only pet as he can be a bit of a bully with other felines and start fights. It looks like Badger would prefer being the king of the castle and having you all to himself. Could you be this handsome young guys purr-ever home? A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.
