Shelter: BC SPCA - Kamloops & District Branch Animal ID: 514874 Birthdate: February 08, 2018 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Say a quiet hello to the Kamloops SPCA's favourite resident, Lego! This sweet boy was brought into our care after having been a stray for who knows how long! Lego is unique because of his demeanor. He is so affectionate and could get scritches forever if it were up to him, but he's very nervous of open spaces, loud noises and fast movements. At first, Lego may hiss or curl away from new people, but we have found that after being read to, he's putty in your hand! Because of his nervousness, Lego would do best in a quiet home with no other animals or children. He drools, purrs and makes muffins endlessly while getting pets! But Lego prefers to hide. He's most comfortable under his cat tree, tucked into the corner or in his hide-n-perch box. While in foster care, Lego happily stayed in his foster parents' closet, then moved to under their TV stand. While he's in his safe space, he rolls onto his side, shows his belly and purrs at the sight of his people. He wants nothing more than a quiet home where he can hide and get lots and lots of lovin'! Lego doesn't know how to ask for affection, so a confident purrent who understands cat body language would be best to teach him how to ask. His ideal purrent would also be able to crouch down and give Lego loving wherever he decides to make his home. We know Lego's behaviour is unorthodox and although we recommend play therapy and affection to help build his confidence, there's always the possibility that he will want to stay hidden. Because of his history as a stray, we don't know what traumas Lego may have been through so with this possibility his new home should be patient and accepting of who he is: a shy, lovin' guy! Are you the understanding, quiet home this boy is searching for? If so, send in an application today! A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.
