Angel - Labrador Retriever Dog

Shelter: BC SPCA - Kamloops & District Branch Animal ID: 535628 Birthdate: May 08, 2014 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Female Angel is a friendly and sociable dog. She came to the shelter after being found running at large. Angel recently had some blood work done while in care of the SPCA and it showed early signs of renal disease. She has lots of energy and gets easily over excited. She needs lots of exercise and outings with guardian. She may want to chase moving things like bikes, animals or children. Good obedience and a confident guardian is important. She knows basic obedience such as sit but would benefit from going to obedience classes as she pulls strongly on leash. Going to class would also help her bond with her new guardian as well as learn new skills and build on the ones she already knows. She likes to be with people all the time so may get anxious when left alone. She will need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time. She tends to bark and while when left alone. Angel is looking for a patient guardian who can spend lots of time with her. She is a fun, outgoing dog, who has lots of love (and energy) to give a lucky guardian! A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success.
