Shelter: BC SPCA - Kamloops & District Branch Animal ID: 543263 Birthdate: April 24, 2017 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Female Stevie and her sister Kya were brought to the SPCA after being abandoned. Stevie is very sweet and social Labrador x Rottweiler. Her and Kya are very bonded and must be adopted together. She can get easily over excited. So she will need a guardian(s)that can provide lots of exercise and outings. She may want to chase moving things like bikes or animals. Good obedience and a confident guardian is important. Stevie can get anxious when left alone for too long. Her future guardian(s) will need to be prepared to work on this with her to get her used to spending time alone slowly. It seems her and Stevie haven't had a lot of exposure to car rides, it can be quite stressful on them. Stevie is fully house-trained and loves going for walks. These girls will need a home with a secure yard and nothing under 6ft because they have a history of climbing fences when left under-supervised. We don't know if they've ever lived with other types of animals (i.e cats, horses). However they did come from a home with multiple children and were very good with them! A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to help ensure success in the new home.
