STUDENT SUMMER EMPLOYMENT PARKS MAINTENANCE POSITION The Village of Ashcroft has two (2) student positions available in the Public Works Department for summer 2021. Both are union positions (CUPE Local 900), starting May 3, 2021 and continue to Labour Day. Rate of pay is $21.49 per hour and is based on a 40 hour work week. These positions will be of interest to anyone enjoying outdoor work. As the successful candidates will be working in public facilities they should be comfortable dealing with people and be prepared to answer general questions. Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence. Duties include all aspects of park maintenance as well as occasional janitorial duties and general labour. These positions can be physical in nature and require working in all weather conditions. This position is designed for a student who will be returning to a post-secondary institution in the fall.
