Shelter: BC SPCA - Kamloops & District Branch Animal ID: 525422 Birthdate: March 11, 2020 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Junior came from the home of 119 dogs from Northern BC. He is very bonded to his brother 'Wilbur' so they must be adopted together. Junior is far from your "average" dog and will require a very patient guardian that has A LOT of time to work on socializing and training him. He is very under socialized with day to day things, such as walking on leash, going up and down stairs or going for car rides. He is currently on anxiety medication to help manage his fear while he receives socialization/training. Junior is very leery of strangers, especially men. Junior cannot go to a home with young children due to his fearfulness and anxiety. A home with adults only is most preferred for him but a home that has older teens that are dog savvy would probably be OK. Once given a chance to warm up and become familiar with people Junior is quite silly and enjoys playing with other dogs. **Due to COVID-19 We've made changes to our adoption process. To adopt: 1. Read through Junior's profile to see if your home would be a good fit. 2. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/ 3. If it's a match, staff will contact you to review your application and set-up an appointment to come in for a visit. Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting applicants that we feel will be the best fit, for both the dog and the home.
